The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
